Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), liberal American religious denomination formed by the merger in 1961 of the Universalist Church of America and the American Universalist Association. Originally the UUA was a Christian denomination; but today it is a pluralistic group that includes Christians, Humanists, Buddhists and Pagans, among others.
