Merenrap, or meren-rap, is a style of Hip hop music which was formed from the fusion of Merengue music with rapping. The song credited with giving birth to the genre was "Soy Chiquito (No Inventes Papito, No Inventes)", recorded by Santi Y Sus Duendes and Lisa M in 1990.
