Paul Janssen

Paul Janssen was born in Turnhout, Belgium, on September 12, 1926, and died in 2003. Founder of Janssen Pharmaceutica (a company with over 20,000 employees), he achieved a postdoctorate in Pharmacology and is one of Belgium's most loved figures, even posthumously.

Dr. Paul Janssen finished as runner up in the 2005 poll for "Greatest Belgian" organised by the regional Flemish television.
