This article refers to the role-playing game. For the Italian horror movie, see Deliria (film).

Deliria is an "interactive urban fantasy" by Phil Brucato. The name Deliria actually refers to Delirium, claiming the positive side of reality loss.

The basic idea is developing one's own fairy tale during a game of alternating storytelling. Deliria is not about a strict world, but rather a system to give ideas form and a live of their own.

It's versatile enough to support almost any form of roleplaying, given the powers of imagination and creativity on the player's and the gamemaster's behalf. The rules are divided into three layers, depending how detailed or how simple the game is planed to be:

  • the narrative layer (all contests are resolved by story-telling)
  • the simple layer (compact rules for roleplaying)
  • the detailed layer (most things are handled within the rules)
