Who I am: New York college student
What I do: Lots of copyedits, writing things on biology and video gaming
What I'm doing now: Spring break brings lab reports. Perhaps I can add some of what I learn to Wikipedia. I'm sorry I won't be getting drunk and partying this spring, like a good little college student, but I guess I'm not cool enough.
These Links Want YOUR Help: | |
---|---|
leading strand | An important biological concept. Deserves more than a paragraph |
replication fork | Another important bio topic, in regard to DNA relication |
DNA polymerase III | The main enzyme involved in DNA replication! Anything you could add would only help such an important topic |
Triads | Looks like it was written by a non-native English speaker |
Pine Barrens | An interesting if overlooked area that needs ecological and historical info. Many myths emanate from there, though info on them online is scarce |
rust (fungus) | Certainly deserves more than it currently has, like description of the organisms' distinguishing features |
butterwort | A stub which needs taxonomic info, etc |
Apprentice Pillar | A stub which has a bit of history and legend surronding it. If you're into Scotland, might be interesting to research this |
Other Things: Most of the video game consoles which have articles on Wikipedia require photographs. Even those with photos may be in copyright violation, since the photos are often from ads or press releases, etc. If you happen to own an old console, especially one from the 1980's, check out its article to see if it needs a photo. The video game industry is rarely taken seriously, and it would be a shame if information on its early days was lost because of indifference.
