I am a hopelessly unemployed computer geek, located in the heartland of the American west, scene of the telecommunications meltdown. With all the extra time on my hands, I've decided to improve my writing skills by endlessly posting here until I become bored. At least I'm honest about my motivations! And hey, if you need a geek who can write (after a healthy edit), give me a call! <GRIN>
I possess the ability to take any side of any issue, and argue passionately about it. As a life long Anarcho-capitalist, and Libertarian / libertarian, I find it strangely entertaining arguing about (for one small example) the moral, philosophical, economic, and political advantages of Nazism, even though I personally passionately disagree.
This causes me *more* problems as I write on Wikipedia. Rather than this ability providing me an easy way to write 'neutrally', I find it *very* difficult. I reject the 'objective' stance on principle. I would prefer to have contentious debates resolved not by striving to write every article 'neutrally', but by having rabid partisan debate provide me each polarized position, along with those poor fools who muddle along somewhere in the middle. To each his own, I suppose.
Current interests include:
- Brandenburgistan located on my website,
- Amazing Scientific Advances, especially in applied technology and materials science
- Current events: Drudge Report, DebkaFile, Global Security, Jane's, Intl. Herald Tribune, Misc. smaller outlets, for starters.
- Geopolitics
- Mass Media communication skills
- Philosophy: Metaphysics, Moral Agency
This is a list of things I have hacked in the Wiki (disambiguation and copyedit stuff not included). As a living document, if you really want to see if it is still mostly my contribution, remember to check the history. In every case, as I have hoped of this shining example of applied anarchism, the result of editing my ranting is a much improved product.
Items I have changed or otherwise contributed to
- Nazism (The part about Nazi economic theory)
- DRoA (Basically took info. and incorporated it and then linked to the Soviet Invasion Page)
Items I have so heavily edited that they are basically new
Items I have created (sometimes so edited, they no longer resemble what I wrote, always for the better!)
Things To Do:
- Try to cajole others interested in military issues to plan an overall strategy for the military / war subsection in Wikispace. The goal is to have a coherent work that can be referenced throughout Wikispace (via any entrance) that will flow toward root concepts. In this way, someone can educate themselves about military matters and be able to apply that knowledge to the specific (usually non-militray) question they asked of the 'pedia.
- Edit War to round it out
- Add to Strategy (Military), create Operational Art, add to tactics, and find a way to describe the over-all system (a new page?)
- Completely re-write Libertarian Party
- Add thoughts to Conspiracy
- Add and morph Church of the Subgenius
- Learn formatting, and why the preview feature doesn't work - so I don't have to re-post constantly to fix minor mistakes when I post.
