John Lyons (born July 11 1949) is a politician in the United Kingdom. He is the former Labour member of Parliament for Strathkelvin and Bearsden, and was first elected in 2001 but lost his seat in 2005 to Lib Dem Jo Swinson after he contested East Dunbartonshire after boundary changes. He had previously been a UNISON official.
