  • This Christmas Feels Like the Very First Christmas to Me
It's shaping up to be a wonderful holiday,
Not your normal, average, everyday
Sounds like someone felled my old coral tree
Spongebob, Patrick, why'd you do this to me?
The world feels like it's in loverly
Go away before I harm you bodily
This Christmas feels like the very first Christmas to me!
There'll be shopping, decorating, and plenty of snow
Hey, Patrick, who's that under the mistletoe?
What? Who, me?
Would you look at the time, I should go!
People seem a little more brotherly
Here's a little something to you from me
Even all the trash, on Christmas it smells so sweetly
This Christmas feels like the very first Christmas to me!
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la,
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
What do you want? Can't you see that I'm busy?
Step outside, we've got something for you to see
Spongebob, take this stuff down immediately!
Chestnuts roasting and burns in the third degree
Tonight things are as good as they seem to be
A star on top will complete all the scenery
This Christmas feels like the very first Christmas to me!
This Christmas feels like the very first Christmas to me!
  • Santa's Coming Tonight
Santa's comin tonight, tonight
Santa's comin tonight!
Santa's comin tonight, tonight
Santa's comin tonight!
Santa's comin tonight, tonight
Santa's comin tonight!
Santa's comin tonight, tonight
Santa's comin tonight!
Santa's comin tonight, tonight
Santa's comin tonight!
Santa's comin tonight, tonight
Santa's comin tonight!

Template:Spoiler At Sandy's treedome, Sandy is putting up some Christmas lights. SpongeBob thinks it's a fire, and throws some water onto it. Sandy asks him what he was doing, and SpongeBob said he thought there was a fire. Sandy tells SpongeBob about Christmas, and he tells everyone else. Everyone puts their Christmas wish into a bottle, and then it is shot up into the surface so Santa can read it. Squidward doesn't believe in Santa, and doesn't write a message. Santa, however, doesn't come, and everyone is confused. SpongeBob is depressed because he didn't come. He gives Squidward a present (A clarinet made out of driftwood with his name engraved on it. Also, if you press a button, an animatronic band pops up out of the holes and plays a song), and he feels sorry for SpongeBob. He dresses up as Santa, and starts giving out his possessions to everybody. He receives a message from Santa telling him that he's been a good boy.

Wishes:

  1. SpongeBob - For Santa to visit Bikini Bottom
  2. Mr. Krabs - A pony with sleighbags full of money
  3. Patrick - Another piece of paper
  4. A fish - A new hairstyle
  5. A kid fish - Front teeth
  6. Plankton - Probably the Krabby Patty secret formula

Trivia: Before this episode, in "Jellyfishing", Patrick said "Merry Christmas". He didn't know about Christmas until this episode. Actually, this episode is a flashback. Patchy the Pirate, in the present, is telling the story of Bikini Bottom's first Christmas. Therefore, the time that Patrick learns about Christmas could have actually occurred sometime before the story in "Jellyfishing", thus explaining Patrick's knowledge of the holiday. This episode, despite being part of season 2, has not aired in the UK but has been released on 'The Nicktoons Christmas' DVD.

Constant Jokes:

  • Patrick thinks that Santa is a genie and doesn't write right.

Cultural References

  • This episode has a spoof of The Polar Express, when Squidward says he doesn't believe in Santa Claus. He could possibly also not believe in Christmas.
