Kolbotn Idrettslag, known by its short forms Kolbotn IL and Kolbotn, is asports club from Kolbotn, Norway. It has several sections:

History

Kolbotn Idrettsklubb and Kolbotn Arbeids Idrettslag was combined to form Kolbotn IL. The club is probably best known for its eminent wrestlers. Kolbotn wrestlers had a very good period in the 40’s and again in the early 80’s to the mid 90’s. The most notable results were two Olympic gold medals by Jon Rønningen.

Kolbotn Handball had its golden years in the early 80’s as they won the National league in 1983 and 1984.

Kolbotn Volleyball also did very well in the early 80's.

Kolbotn Football has had a very capable women’s team in the last few years.
