João Filipe Iria Santos Moutinho, or simply João Moutinho (born on September 8, 1986 in Portimão) is a promising star of the Portuguese football (soccer) playing for Sporting Clube de Portugal.

He is a center-midlefield and has a good strike, though he just scored is first goal against Naval on a penalty kick. His great appearences against Feyenoord Rotterdam or Newcastle United, made him famous around Europe, and he is one of Sporting's crowd favourites

With just 19 years old, is already a international player, making his debut with Portugal's shirt against Russia in the World Cup's Qualyfing

João Moutinho is really one of Sporting's favourites. He has a special song for him and it goes like this "Ele é o 28, ele é baixinho (short), João Moutinho, João Moutinho"
