Digital hardcore is a music genre or style that is first defined by Alec Empire. The name of this genre is equal to the record company that Alec Empire set up in the early nineties, which is Digital Hardcore Recordings.

Digital hardcore is generally electronic music, created with samplers and drum machines. The music sounds most of the time as a combination of techno, electro and drum and bass.
