Sony Entertainment Television is the name of two cable television channels available in Latin America and India, both owned by Sony.

Latin America

When SET Latin America began transmissions in 1995, it was a premium entertainment cable television channel that aired movies and series from Sony Pictures Entertainment. When the premium service failed in the late 1990s, it became a basic cable television channel.

SET Latin America shows new series from US television networks such as Will & Grace, American Idol, Extreme Makeover, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Scrubs, My Wife and Kids, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Commander in Chief, Everybody Hates Chris, Medium, Ghost Whisperer, Saturday Night Live, Charmed, America's Next Top Model, Blow Out, Sex, Love and Secrets, Grey's Anatomy, According to Jim, Everybody Loves Raymond, Desperate Housewives, That 70s Show and reruns of shows such as Seinfeld, Mad About You, Dawson's Creek, Melrose Place, Beverly Hills 90210, Wings, Saturday Night Live, Married with Children, The Nanny, Frasier, and reruns from shows from the 1960s and 1970s such as Six Million Dollar Man, Charlie's Angels, and Starsky and Hutch, as well as past seasons of Charmed, Scrubs, CSI, and others.

Unlike most television networks in Latin America, which air all the imported shows dubbed, Sony airs all shows as subtitled (in Portuguese or Spanish, depending on the country).

SET Latin America headquarters is in Caracas, Venezuela and Miami, with heavy collaboration from Mexico.

India

According to its web site, Sony Entertainment Television "is dedicated to provide the best in Hindi family entertainment to the largest percentage of the Indian population-the young adult. Some of its popular shows include "Kkusum" and "Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin." This channel also has a few shows for young adults like "Ye Meri Life Hai" and "Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai." The most known Indian dance show is also a part of this channel, "Boogie Woogie."

"[...] Sony Entertainment Television is seen in over 40 million households throughout India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Middle East."
