Los Presidentes

Yeah, I kind of give up. I proposed a compromise on the talk page, but I'm just going to let Jiang be the enforcer. Well, at least until I get pissed off again. :) jengod 22:09, Mar 20, 2004 (UTC)

Hello-

I appreciate your interest in cleaning up links & redirects re:Arizona, but I think you misunderstood the Arizona State Parks article. Stubby as it is, this article is (as the introduction states, and capitalization of name implies) about the agency known as Arizona State Parks which administers the parks listed there. So, if anything, the two articles should be broken up--not renamed "List of etc etc". Changing the name also causes some of the articles, like Cochise County, to not make sense (e.g. previously it read "Sites administered by Arizona State Parks," meaning the agency and linking to the agency w/included list, wheras now it reads "Sites administered by List of Arizona State Parks" which is nonsense--and I don't think we'd gain anything by piping the link). I just wanted to let you know what I'm thinking so that we don't end up going back and forth. I haven't changed anything yet, but I'll probably try to look at it again in a day or so.  :) Cheers, Iroll 07:37, 22 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Thanks, I appreciate it! Iroll 17:30, 22 Mar 2004 (UTC)

City beautiful

Just to say, great work on the new article. Warofdreams 19:01, 22 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I've been hoping someone would make a really sound start on this subject! Wetman 05:36, 23 Mar 2004 (UTC) Now to retrieve American Renaissance eh....

Thanks

Though your vote was a little late obviously, its the thought that counts, so thank you for helping me and for your continued service to wikipedia. RegardsGrazingshipIV 03:00, Mar 24, 2004 (UTC)

You = still a genius. :) jengod 21:01, Mar 24, 2004 (UTC) p.s. re On the other hand, that would severely gut the article Historic incorporated territories of the United States, since really only three (Palymyra, Alaska, Hawaii) might truly qualify. on bkonrad's talk--if you can figure out what to renamed, I saw we rename it. :) jengod 21:41, Mar 24, 2004 (UTC)

re: grazingship

Hcheney has come clean with some truths regarding GrazingshipIV. You may want to reconsider your Quickpoll vote. Kingturtle 00:02, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)

School (bsoft)

I go to Rocky Mountain High School. Sidenote: This year, the 4th high school ("Fossil Ridge High School") is opening. It's supposed to save the environment by being more energy efficent. At least every classroom has a window. Bsoft 08:20, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Southern Tier

I live in Sayre, Pennsylvania and was born in Binghamton, New York, so the interest in making an article about the Twin Tiers region has been there, but you beat me to making a (quite nice!) article on the Southern Tier. If I could ask where you got the image you used for that so I could make a similar one for the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, that would be extremely useful. Thanks :)Toolie 15:07, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Well, I just realized I could take any 'highlighted county' map and edit it.. my mistake! Toolie 15:29, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Sure!

Organized and possessions sounds great...now we just have to do it. :) ~j jengod 19:54, Mar 25, 2004 (UTC)

Actually, you've got me thinking, maybe it is best to use List of historic regions of the United States--we have former countries on there--no reason not to have former colonial possesions--they were part of the U.S. No reason not to explain things there. Whadja think? jengod 21:32, Mar 25, 2004 (UTC)

Illinois Country

Thanks. I'm done with it for now. I'm sure I can keep finding things to tweak, but I'm tired of looking at it for now. Bkonrad | Talk 00:23, 27 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Moment /Minute

Hey, it was the 70s. You can be forgiven for not remembering very clearly.  ;-) I've got two interesting (I hope) examples of references to Bicentennial Minutes in other programs that I will add shortly. Moncrief 01:12, Mar 27, 2004 (UTC)

Kryptopterus bicirrhis

Actually, the text is nonsense. It describes the fish as being black, when it is transparent. Didn't realize that until I started trying to fix the article up. The species itself does exist though. -- Cyrius | Talk 02:56, Mar 29, 2004 (UTC)

Watson

Do you mean the Senator Watson? That is pretty wild -- he's prety inconsequential as far as I could find out. Bkonrad | Talk 21:21, 30 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Well, that's pretty amazing. I can't even remember how I happened to start working on him. I was doing John S. Horner and somehow got off on a tangent where I saw a link to James Watson was to the biologist. Anyhow, if you want to include the photo of the house in his article that'd be interesting. I couldn't find any portraits of him. Bkonrad | Talk 22:45, 30 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Hmph.

Dude, I'm not even talking to you. We're on a break. How could you not tell me you were up for admin? <g> ;) <g> jengod 21:46, Apr 1, 2004 (UTC)

Oh, okay...fine. :) (congrats!) jengod 19:32, Apr 2, 2004 (UTC)
Also, this is brilliant. jengod 21:26, Apr 2, 2004 (UTC)

you are now an admin

A consensus has been reached by your peers that you should be an admin. I have made it so. Please review Wikipedia:Administrators' reading list and keep up the great work. Sincerely, Kingturtle 06:54, 4 Apr 2004 (UTC)

congrats. jengod 22:08, Apr 4, 2004 (UTC)

North River

Definitely I would redo the map to "the bend" only, and you might as well remove the reference to Harlem River. I have seen references to the "North or Hudson River" well into English times (indicating alternate usage) and in the modern era (i.e., since the Revolution) North is the river up to the bend.

Congratulations! Admin Decumanus! :) Cecropia 15:25, 5 Apr 2004 (UTC)~

Kenneth Allenson / Kända Aulan

Hello! I've been told (by Fedor) that you are running a case against this troll and it has been suggested that you might need my support in this case! I'm a sysop on the Swedish Wikipedia and, so far, I've been restricting myself to revert most of his edits there. Trolls aren't really common (yet) on the sv: so we are generally very forgiving. I've forwarded the issue to the other Swedish users on the Swedish Village pump. If you need my support however, feel free to contact me on my Swedish talk page (I hope you forgive me my shortcomings in the English languagge, if any) :) / Mats 19:16, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Ununpentium (ct'd)

Thanks for sending me the Uup signal. The article seems to turn out rather balanced, a pleasant surprise for a change. See you!

In case you didn't notice, I was acting as moderator, not a contributor there. So I myself was a "proper channel" :-) But never mind, I think I've found another way to quench this edit war. Mikkalai 18:38, 8 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Gah! I have no faith in you any more ;) Dysprosia 04:59, 9 Apr 2004 (UTC)

MNH

I recently saw a comment on Talk User:RK regarding ... MNH. If your comments were in reference to me, you should drop me a line on my talk page and explain further. -- John Gohde, aka Mr-Natural-Health 19:58, 11 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Admin Nomination

Hello, I would appreciate your help by earning your vote as an admin. I have been here about 5 months now and have been nominated. I have made many contributions and have improved on my editing and behavior. I take this seriously, that is why I have gotten into it with Anthony so much. You can look at my user page yourself and see my contribtions. I would appreciate a vote in the yes column if you agree. Again, thanks for your time and help. ChrisDJackson 02:34, 13 Apr 2004 (UTC)

thanks

Decumanus,

Thanks for your vote in re my admin nomination.

I'm taking the opportunity of thanking those who troubled to vote to troll for crypto naive eyes. You've contributed so much I'm not sure if you are, but if so, can I ask some reactions for at least the general overview articles. I'm interested in adjusting whatever I can that is murky to the non-specialist reader and I can't really see that sort of thing much anymore. I'll be glad to return the favor for articles you'd like a glance at.

Anyway, thanks again.

Thanks!

How did I forget to thank you? Arrrggghh! You were very kind and supportive and I'm really grateful to you. Kind regards, Cecropia 22:02, 14 Apr 2004 (UTC)

I couldn't find a decent USGS information page... So if you'd like to start it, that'd be great. --Alexwcovington 04:34, 20 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Others' user pages

Although I do not agree with Paul Smith's recent attitudes, and would likely have deleted his comments on my user page myself, I prefer reserving that opportunity until I have had a chance to read them. Moving them to my talk page would have been acceptable as this would have resulted in a notice of the message. Please be guided accordingly in the future. Eclecticology 09:15, 2004 Apr 20 (UTC)
