Dear Farhatji and other contributers,

Thank you for your contributions.

I feel some of what you have written can be misleading.

There are several communities of Kshatriyas in India, Khatris are one them. This article is specically about Khatris.

  • Gautam Buddha was a Kshatriya, but not a Khatri. He is respected by all, from untouchables to Brahmins, not just Khatris.
  • Khatris and Brahmins of Punjab are neighbors and brothers. Let us not worry about higher or lower. Also Rajputs are our friends and brothers. Let us be fair to them.
  • Farhatji, can you add more details about your book, publisher etc.?

I suggest we examine an explore any differences in views we have here in the discussion page.

Dear Vikram Sahib.

My intention was to trace the historical background of Khatris. I do not want to create mis-understandings between Brahman, Khatri or Rajput. I appreciate your rearrangement of this article.

Farhat
