"Gin and Juice"
Song

"Gin and Juice" is a 1993 single by Snoop Doggy Dogg, from his debut solo album Doggystyle. A Top 10 hit single on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, "Gin and Juice" was nominated for the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance.

Produced by Dr. Dre, "Gin and Juice" contains interpolates of Slave's "Watching You" and George McRae's "I Get Lifted". Additional vocalists on the song include Dat Nigga Daz, Jewell, Heney Loc, and Sean "Barney" Thomas. Unusually for a hip-hop song, song has been covered several times, by alternative country group The Gourds in 2003 and by lounge group Richard Cheese in 2004.

The song's music video, directed by Dr. Dre, features a simple concept: teenager Snoop throws a wild house party after his parents leave the house. The small-budget idea was later repurposed in videos such as J-Kwon's "Tipsy" and Oowee's "Why Cry", which was directed by DJ Pooh features Snoop and is a shot-by-shot remake of the "Gin and Juice" video.
