Chessie (sea monster)

Chessie is a legendary sea monster said to live in the midst of the Chesapeake Bay. The Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in the U.S that is surrounded by Virginia and Maryland.In many years there have been many sightings of a serpent like creature with flippers as part of it's body.One sighting goes like this "it came out of the water. It raised it's head out of the water.It had fins and it seemed like it had hard scales on it's body. It raised so high that it's head could even been seen by the person in the crow's nest.It then quickly dove back into the water and turned back and started swiming.The way it turned back you could see it's tail was fanned." - Aditya Baliga
