2014 FIFA World Cup

Template:Future sport The 2014 Football World Cup will provisionally take place in a South American country, most likely Brazil.

On March 7 2003 FIFA announced that the cup would be held in South America for the first time since Uruguay hosted it in Football World Cup 1930, in line with its policy of rotating the right to host the World Cup amongst the different confederations. On March 17 the CONMEBOL associations voted unanimously to adopt Brazil as their sole candidate. The final decision as to hosting will be made sometime in 2008. This will be the first time the World Cup has been held outside of Europe twice in a row.
