Introduction

For Baby stuff, see User:Jfdwolff/Baby

I am a doctor living in Edgware (near London), United Kingdom.

I was Born in Leiden, The Netherlands and lived there until age 14. Moved to Amsterdam at that age and finished secondary school there. Spent one year in Jerusalem, Israel in a yeshiva, then returned to The Netherlands to study Medicine. I got married in 1999 while still a student and completed by basic medical training in 2001, after which I worked two years as an intern. We now have three children. We moved to the UK in 2003.

"Nobody has ever died from being redirected" - JFW | T@lk

Everybody has a few items they feel passionate about. Mine is "correct terminology" in articles, especially the titles. Scientific terminology often leads to confusion when it falls into the wrong hands; in the public discourse the word "schizophrenia" is still abused too often to describe a situation where inequalities reign (the correct word is "double standard"). My motto, as stated above, remains: "Nobody has ever died from being redirected". Better a good redirect than improper use of terminology.
