William Perkins (theologian)

William Perkins (1558-1602) was an English Puritan preacher born in Marton, Warwickshire and was educated in Christ's College, Cambridge, . He was one of the most popular theologians of the Elizabethan age, eventually outselling even John Calvin.

He is the author of a 'Discourse of the Damned Art of Witchcraft'.

Not to be confused with the English chemist William Perkin
