Bill MacCormick is a british bassist and vocalist who was a member of the bands Quiet Sun (with Phil Manzanera, Ian MacCormick aka Ian MacDonald et al.), Matching Mole (with Robert Wyatt et al.), 801 and Random Hold. He also was a session musician with (at least) Phil Manzanera, Robert Wyatt, Brian Eno and Gary Windo.

Apparently, Bill had finished his musical career in the 1970s. On the other hand, he played a bass solo on Phil's 2004 album "6PM" in the track "Wish You Well", a tribute to Bill's late brother Ian. Also, he is the producer of the 2005 Manzanera album "50 Minutes Later".
