Article parts

Articles on actors seem to falling into a standard pattern: an introductory paragraph, early years, career, personal life, trivia, awards, filmography, and external links.

Articles on films should include an introductory paragraph, an infobox, and possibly a spoilered synopsis.

Pictures

This has been a very contentious issue. Some enthusiastic fans want to place many pictures, often copyrighted pictures taken from websites. One editor, Plumcouch, has worked hard to make sure that all pictures used are public domain. There is also an emerging consensus that one picture per article may be appropriate, to prevent the proliferation of fan pictures. Comments solicited on talk page.

Fansites are often of low quality and feature commercial links. Moreover, there are many sites for popular actors, and if we link to one, it seems fair to link to all. A consensus seems to be emerging that only links to the actor's official site and IMDB article are allowable. Comments appreciated on talk page.
