Richie Edwards was born on 25th September, 1974, in Lichfield, England. Richie is the bass guitarist with the Rock band The Darkness. He is the newest member of the band, replacing Frankie Poullain. He was confirmed as a member on 13th June 2005.

Before joining The Darkness Richie Edwards worked for nearly two years as a guitar technician for the band. He was also a member of the band Onion Trump.
