The Nissan Titan is a full-size pickup truck produced in (and for) the United States market. The truck shares Nissan's F-Alpha platform with the Armada and Infiniti QX56 SUVs, and is manufactured in Canton, MS.

The Titan was nominated for the North American Truck of the Year award for 2004.

Sales numbers for the first full year of production (Dec 2003 to Dec 2004) was 85,920.

Models and Equipment

The Nissan Titan, which first went on sale in December of 2003, features the 5.6 L VK56DE V8 engine which generates 305 hp at 4900RPM and 379 ft·lbs of torque at 3600 rpm. The Titan is available in either 2WD or 4WD with a 5-speed automatic transmission.


The exterior of the Titan has a Length of 224.2in, a width of 78.8 in., a height of 76.7 in. and a wheel base of 139.8 in. The truck also features a ground clearance of 11.5 in. and has a gross Weight: 6522 lbs.

Available Features

The Nissan Titan comes in three basic trim levels XE, SE, and LE. The trim levels are combinations of the features offered on the truck which include:

Navigation Package, DVD Mobile Theater , Side-Airbag Package w/VDC, Off Road Package, Sunroof, Side-Airbag Package w/o VDC, XM Satellite Radio, Big Tow Package, Sirius Satellite Radio, Leather Split Power Bench Seat, and the industry first Utili-Track bed rail system.

Safety Data

As Tested without side impact air bags, no electronic stability control, and a vehicle curb weight of 5272lbs the Nissan Titan has a 5 star rating for Driver Frontal Crash, and a 4 Star rating for Passenger Frontal Crash. The star system is explained here.
