Notes

  1. Working titles for this story included The Colony of Devils.
  2. This story marks the first appearance of the Doctor's sonic screwdriver.
  3. This is the first overall story title since Mission to the Unknown not to have 'the' as the starting word.
  4. None of the six episodes of this serial are known to still exist in full (see Doctor Who missing episodes). The audio soundtracks, very short clips from some episodes and behind-the-scenes footage and film inserts are all that remains, and have been released on CD and DVD.
