Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Co.
Appearance
The Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Co. was a Chicago, Illinois-based bank which was acquired by BankAmerica Corp. in 1994. The acquisition was intended to broaden BankAmerica's presence in the midwest.
Branches in Chicago are operated under the Bank of America name (the Bank changed its name in 1998 after its merger with NationsBank), but the Bank's presence outside of the city is virtually inexistant. Many of Bank of America's functions are based out of its Chicago offices, including some of its commercial and private banking operations.
