Coolidge Middle School (Massachusetts)

Coolidge Middle School is a school in Reading, Massachusetts. The current principal (as of December 31,2005) is Craig Martin. The Vice Principal is Mrs. Marie Pink. This school has won many awards including: NELMS Spotlight School and A 21st century school of distinction. The band directors are Mr. Joseph Mulligan (6th grade band) and Ms. Cheryl Wing (7th and 8th grade band). The chorus director is Ms. Jennifer DiMuzio. A teacher that currently retired is Mr. Stanley J. Quinlan. He taught 6th grade math and social studies. The 2 spanish teachers are Mr. Somes and Mrs. Vassilev. A brand new science teacher is now teaching 7th grade Life Science and her name is Mrs. Marchant. Some famous students include Jimmy Silva, Farid Najmi, Tyler Ewing, Richard Killian, Tyler Whitney, Matt Munro,Sean M., Rachel and Ross Aylward, Mike Wang, Bradley Porter, and Anthony Salazar. This school's 7th grade social studies teacher is Mr. Maday. One news story that this school has is that they want to extend the school day from 2:30-4:30. (The current school hours are 7:50A-2:30P) Mr. Doherty used to be the principal, but he moved up to assistant superintendent. This school's gym (wellness) teachers are Mrs. Graham and Mr. Goodhue. Many of this school's attendees go to the nitespot which is a "dance" at the Burbank YMCA right nextdoor. A very weird student is Francesca (aka Mancesca) Cappola. Many famous hockey players that go here are Tyler Ewing, Devin Albert, Jordan Bergeron, Kayla Creamer,Kevin Gallagher, Mike Doherty, Ryan Cote, Chris Welch, Tom Crowley, Matt Byrne, Ross Aylward, Tom Leach, and Mike Grassi.
