Toni Morrison is an African-American author, born February 18,1931 in Lorain, Ohio. Her novel Beloved won the Pulitzer Prize in 1988. She won the National Books Critics Award for 'Song of Solomon'. She was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993.
