All England Open Badminton Championships

The Yonex All England Open Badminton Championship is one of the oldest and most prestigious badminton tournaments. Starting in 1899 as The Open English Championships the tournament has outgrown seven venues, now being played at the National Indoor Arena Birmingham, and since 1984 has been exclusively sponsored by Yonex. It was considered the unofficial World Championships of badminton until 1977.
