Matix Fertilisers & Chemicals Limited

Matix Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd. is the flagship project of the Matix Group. As part of the project, Matix Group is building and will operate a greenfield fertilizer complex with a capacity of 3 MTPA in Panagarh, West Bengal.[1]

In Phase 1, Matix Group is investing Rs. 5,000 crores (approximately US$ 1.1 billion) to set up a world-class single stream 2,200 metric tonnes per day (MTPD) Ammonia plant and 3,850 MTPD Urea plant along with associated offsite and utilities.

The fertiliser complex, located in Panagarh Industrial Park near Durgapur, adjacent to Highway NH2 and the Eastern Railway Network is easily accessible by road, rail and air. The complex will house a 33 MW captive power plant, dedicated water reservoir, steam generation and other utilities. The efficient distribution and infrastructure also includes road network and a railway siding. Waste water recycling facilities and the green belt will be located within the complex.
