Brentwood is a city located in Williamson County, Tennessee, USA. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 23,445. Brentwood is known as an affluent suburb of Nashville.

The racial makeup of the city is 94.63% White, 1.89% African American, 0.16% Native American, 2.50% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.19% from other races, and 0.64% from two or more races. 1.10% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 7,693 households out of which 48.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 82.2% are married couples living together, 4.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 11.5% are non-families. 10.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
