Artemis I
Artemis I was an uncrewed Moon-orbiting mission that was launched on November 16, 2022. It was the first major spaceflight of NASA's Artemis program and marked the agency's return to lunar exploration since the Apollo program after five decades. It was the first flight test of the Orion spacecraft and the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, and the mission's main objective was to test the Orion spacecraft in preparation for future Artemis missions. Artemis I was launched from Launch Complex 39B at the Kennedy Space Center. After reaching orbit, the upper stage separated and performed a trans-lunar injection before releasing Orion and ten CubeSat satellites. Orion completed one flyby of the Moon on November 21 and completed a second flyby on December 5. This picture shows Artemis I launching from Launch Complex 39B.Photograph credit: NASA/Joel Kowsky

Ko-Wiktionary

Hi, Angela, I appreciate your kindly attention to the ko-wikipedia. About three months ago you have helped me in revising the Allmassage. The revision is not completed. I suppose you are informed about my "malheur". Well, I am trying to set up the recently established ko-wiktionary. A main difficulty with which I am confronted is the index function. The en-wiktionary seems to function after the alphabetical ordered, self-seeking index. I've looked round wiktionary of other languages like Japanese or French. But they seem to gather words manually in indices they have apparently created for their own - even though French belongs to Indo-European language. You know, Korean is a language which also disposes of alphabet. How functions the myterious anchor "//wiktionary.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=Special:Allpages&from=A A" ? I've tried to exchange the Indo-European alphabet with the Korean, but it goes wrong. -- 12:07, 14 May 2004 (UTC) 아흔(A-heun)

I replied at ko wiktionary. Angela 20:27, May 14, 2004 (UTC)

Swedish spoken

That is cool, you can your Swedish! :-) May I ask why you can write? :-) // Rogper 23:33, 14 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

I can't really write Swedish at all. The text on my user page was initially a machine translation until Mats gave me some advice on IRC about changing it. :) Angela 14:08, May 16, 2004 (UTC)

Deletion

dear angela,

i was a little sad when you deleted my what i had to say {"justice=the pieces of peace"}. any way, i think you people are doing a great job. i like the idea of free access to diverse views. should you/editors delete views? i think this is where u&i have an issue. all views are of equal value in a fair system. this includes the "bad" guys. victor kacala.

key issue for your group is that it lacks balance in extreme views. even physics is merely a fairy tale. ps i hope u had a nice week-end.

Sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about. What are you claiming I have deleted? Angela 14:08, May 16, 2004 (UTC)

Unblocking me:-)

Many thanks, Angela, for unblocking me and for taking the trouble to explain. You've been a great help. David Cannon 20:43, 16 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. :) Angela 20:53, May 16, 2004 (UTC)
Thanks again for all your help, Angela. Let's hope the it stays settled this time:-) Cheers!David Cannon 01:44, 17 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Blank Pages

I'm sorry, Angela. I thought I was doing Wikipedia a favour by (a) bypassing redirects whenever I saw them, so that links would point directly to their articles, and (b) by blanking the redirect page, as it no longer connects with anything and is now redundant. I didn't realize anybody might have a problem with that. Now that I know, I won't do it again. Thanks for telling me:-) David Cannon 23:06, 16 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Pesky images

Thanks for the image delete and for trying to delete the second... --Tagishsimon

Xxos banned and unbanned...

Thank you, Angela, for 'unbanning' me.

It is possible that Wikipedia is not interested in the areas that fascinate me.

I would certainly like to see Wikipedia being more than a humdrum compendium of homogenised 'knowledge'.

Xxos was repeatedly told to stop creating articles which had gone through the VfD process, but he chose to ignore the requests. RickK 03:22, 17 May 2004 (UTC) [reply]
His original articles all went through the seven-day VfD process, and had the VfD headers listed on the articles for the full seven days. He had a different account, I think it was XXoS, or something like that, but I don't remember it for sure. RickK 14:48, 17 May 2004 (UTC) [reply]

Fixedreference

Angela, Thanks for your comments on fixedreference on the copyright page. See reply, have tried to fix your points, still working on a couple. Please have another look and see if you are now happier with it --(talk to)BozMo 09:04, 17 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism@simple

Please see vandalism I just reverted on Simple main page. Can you block the IP of this user please? --(talk to)BozMo 10:38, 17 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to have settled down now. I've noted it on simple:vandalism in progress. Angela 18:27, May 17, 2004 (UTC)

Lst27

A general note to people who may be wondering whether this user is in fact Alex Plank. You may observe that Lst27's decision to remove his self-nomination for adminship, after it had received considerable opposition, is entirely consistent with Alex Plank's behavior when nominating himself in the past. --Michael Snow 21:09, 17 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Moves

Hi Angela! I see you've been busy at the pump. good on you! I got a suggestion. when you move text to another talk page rather than just say 'from' blah blah, could you say 'moved from' blah blah. That way the stunned people (me in this case) in the recipient page know where the conversation is continueing.. I might be a bit slow but took me a while to figure it out! best wishes (by the way how do you do this post message form?) e 21:49, 17 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

thanks that was it! cool! e 21:59, 17 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

This has been blocked for ages ages, when the edit war had died doen a long time ago. Would you consider unprotecting it? thanks. User:Neutrality

Pardon me Angela, just want to point out that the above was added by User:68.232.48.239 in case that is important. - Tεxτurε 00:46, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure it is important or not, but thanks anyway. I've unprotected it for now. Angela 01:50, May 18, 2004 (UTC)

I accept arbitration. I prefer you, but anyone can do. Thanks. Neutrality 21:21, 22 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletions

Hello Angela, Thanks for putting me straight on Speedy deletions. Thanks also for the feedback. As you may have noticed I have been putting quite a lot on Speedy deletions lately and was wondering how to get some feedback on my judgement/guesses. I gather that patent nonsence doesn't included the merely trivial like characters in games. I will continue to list a few of my nominations just to explore the parameters ofr nomination. Cheers ping 07:28, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I will do that. I like your user page, makes mine look quite pedestrian. ping 07:42, 18 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks :) Angela

Self-ban

Angela, I'm banning myself for 72 hours due to WikiStress over US politics. (Just so you know...) --Uncle Ed 14:38, 19 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Admin on Meta

It's been a couple of weeks since I listed myself at m:Requests for adminship and there appear to be no objections. Would you be willing to make this so? Thanks - UninvitedCompany 16:46, 19 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Angela 17:14, May 19, 2004 (UTC)

SimpleEnglish Wiki General Disclaimer

I've done a chainsaw-and-scalpel reconstruction of this page, and I'd appreciate your feedback. I've tried to bring it down to about a grade 8 reading level and there remain only a few intractible phrases (this one in particular: " it is protected by the laws of the United States Constitution's First Amendment and the en:Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations"). Edits to Arabic Wikipedia

Angela, why the Arabic Wikipedia? Do you know any Arabic? Or do you just do stuff that doesn't require you to know the language?

Sometimes I've done edits on Wikipedias where I didn't know the language, but (thought I) could figure out from context what was going on. Juuitchan

The only Arabic I know is the list of words on my user page there. I can tell the difference between "edit" and "delete" but that's about it. I very rarely edit on the Arabic Wikipedia anymore. I used to be a sysop there whilst it was very new because most of the things that needed doing didn't require any knowledge of the language; reporting bugs with the R->L interface, reverting vandalism on the main page etc. When it became big enough to look after itself, and got some Arabic-speaking admins, I de-adminned myself and focused more on looking after some of the small ones that still don't have sysops. Angela 05:02, May 21, 2004 (UTC)

Your sig

There appears to be an error in your sig; it doesn't show up right for me. I get a link with text "Angel" followed by a bold "a.". --Juuitchan

It's because self-links appear bold. The a is a link to this talk page, so if I sign on this talk page, it's bold. Anywhere else it looks like a normal link. Angela. 05:23, May 21, 2004 (UTC)
I've decided to change it back anyway, so it's just the full stop that links back here, not the "a". Angela. 02:35, May 25, 2004 (UTC)

Table ronde

Well, I am currently busy trying to make a second powerpoint with screenshots of wikipedia, as I feel deeply no live-demo will be decent.

Wikipedia has been working well for weeks, and is not far from dead just these days. I am not sure I will *ever* go to a meeting to present WP again :-) ant
