Derby

Derby is a city in the East Midlands of England. It lies on the banks of the River Derwent.

It is represented in the English Football League Division One by Derby County F.C..

Derby ceased to be administered by Derbyshire County Council on 1 April 1997, with the Derby City Council becoming a unitary authority. The county town of Derbyshire is now Matlock.
