Inari is said to be the Shinto god of fertility and foxes. One fox is said to be trouble, two is said to be a headache and three is absolute disaster. Inari's foxes are pure silver. White foxes are particular bad luck. It is also said that the Kitsune (fox- demons) worship Inari.
