North Shropshire is a local government district in Shropshire, England. Its council is based in Wem. Other settlements include the villages of Baschurch, Prees, Loppington and Hodnet and the towns of Ellesmere, Market Drayton, and Whitchurch.

The district was formed on April 1, 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, by a merger of Market Drayton Rural District and North Shropshire Rural District.
