How It's Made (also broadcast in French under the title Comment c'est fait) is a television programme broadcast in Canada on Discovery Channel Canada and in French on Ztélé which highlights the processes by which diverse everday products such as snowboards, ice skates, and bubblegum are made. The programme is broadcast internationally as well, in the United States on The Science Channel and in the UK on Discovery Channel UK

A total of 78 episodes, each 24 minutes long, have been produced over six seasons. Episodes were filmed mainly in central Canada and the northeastern United States, and the show was produced in Québec, Canada by Productions MAJ Inc. The show was originally narrated by former Canadian olympian Mark Tewksbury during the first season but subsequent seasons have been narrated by Lynn Herzeg. The narrator of Comment c'est fait broadcast on Ztélé is former Canadian olympian Jean-Luc Brassard.

The programme was a coproduction of the french-language Ztélé (formerly Canal Z) and Discovery Channel Canada. Financial assistance for the programme was also provided by the Government of Québec through the Ministère de la Recherche, de la Science et de la Technologie (now the Ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation), as well as the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC) provincial tax credit. The Government of Canada provided support through the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit administed by the Canadian Ministry of Heritage.
