Scary Movie 4 is a sequel to Scary Movie 3 that is directed by David Zucker and written by Craig Mazin and Pat Proft. It is distributed by The Weinstein Company. It will be released on April 14, 2006.
Plot
This movie will officially spoof Saw, Saw II, The Village, The Grudge, War of the Worlds, Million Dollar Baby, and a quick reference to both National Treasure and Freddy vs Jason. The opening sequence is a spoof of Saw, which will feature Dr. Phil McGraw and Shaquille O'Neal.
Anna Faris and Regina Hall are back as the loveable, dim-witted Cindy Campbell and her self-serving, sex-crazed pal Brenda respectively. They are joined this time around by Craig Bierko as the cute, but utterly clueless, Tom Ryan. Together, they battle to save the world from a ruthless alien invasion. Cindy Campbell moves in next to Tom Ryan because she's taking care of an old lady. She finds out the house is haunted by a little boy and goes on a quest to find out who killed him and why. Also, Alien "Tr-iPods" are invading the world and Cindy has to uncover the secret in order to stop them.
Story
- The following is what people from the pre-screening revealed:
- Shaq and Dr. Phil wake up chained in a bathroom. Shaq has to make a basket in order to lower the saws they need to escape. He repeatedly misses, but Dr. Phil is able to talk him through anxiety in order to make the winning shot. Dr. Phil ends up sawing off his foot but he picks the wrong one.
- Cindy Campbell plays as Sarah Michelle Gellar's character in The Grudge. She's been asked to be a caretaker for the creepy "Grudge House." Her next door neighbor, Tom Ryan (Craig Bierko), is a single father with quite a few screws loose spoofing War of the Worlds. As their love blossoms, the world comes under attack by gigantic tr-iPods (giant iPods) that destroy everything in their sight. Tom flees with his kids, leaving Cindy alone with her best friend, Brenda. Anna makes a reference to being a fighter once, spoofing Million Dollar Baby, and that's the only time we see George, Simon Rex, who is her trainer (just like Clint Eastwood was) and Cody, Drew Mikuska, cheering for Cindy. Together, they, Cindy and Brenda, climbs over a wall and come across The Village, that seems to be a hundred years behind modern times. After that spoof is over, we see Ray, his family, Cindy, and Brenda hiding in Michael Madsen's house (as in the War of the Worlds). Everyone gets sucked up into a tr-iPod and inside is the Saw bathroom/chamber. Saw II is spoofed with a key being behind one of the characters eyes. It turns out that Brenda has the key behind one of her eye. After finding out, she's yelling at Cindy to not cut it but Cindy wants to live so she cuts it but Brenda doesn't die. When she cuts her eyes off, Cindy releases herslf but then the Venus Fly Trap Brenda has on smashes her head. Then a Freddy vs Jason spoof happens when Tom & Cindy find Eddy Fuger & Bason Doorrhees battle agents ecth other but a Tr-iPod come in and eats Eddy's head then all of Bason and soon all the Tr-iPods fall down after Cindy throws Bason's machede and all the Tr-iPod die out. And it is in this time that a mysterious serial killer comes into the spotlight. A serial killer who plans to make examples of the useless lives of Dr. Phil and Shaquille O'Neal. Then the movie ends there.
- After the film ends, there is a 5 minute epilouge spoofing the The Oprah Winfrey Show episode of Tom Cruise (Craig Bierko) jumping on a couch with an Oprah look-a-like. This is Debra Wilson, a MAD TV cast member who is very well known for her Oprah parodies. Also, Bierko's character will do odd antics such as running around the studio and doing backflips (which is a stunt double done by a student of Burnaby Mountain Secondary School)
Unofficial rating is PG-13 for violence, profanity, strong sexual content, adult language, adult situations. [1]
