London Borough of Havering
Appearance
The London Borough of Havering is a London borough in outer northeast London, near the border with Essex. It is rumoured to have been named from a contraction of the phrase "Have a ring".
Despite this, the postal address for areas within Havering ends with 'Romford, Essex', which is the main area in Havering. There is, therefore, some contention as to whether these areas are really a part of Essex or of London.
Havering includes the areas:
- Ardleigh Green
- Chase Cross
- Collier Row
- Elm Park
- Emerson Park
- Gidea Park
- Harold Hill
- Harold Wood
- Havering-Atte-Bower
- Havering Park
- Hornchurch
- Rainham
- Romford
- Upminster
