Cibo Matto is a NYC-based all-women band whose main members are Miho Hatori and Yuka Honda. They have two full length albums: 1996's Viva! La Woman, and 1999's Stereo Type A. Other releases include Super Relax EP. Their music is a diverse mixture of popular styles including electronic-dance, hip hop, punk rock, and more. Cibo Matto's sound is unique for many reasons, but perhaps most notably because of their Japanese accents in an American song/vocal format.

Cibo Matto made a cameo appearance on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, playing in the Bronze nightclub in the second season episode When She Was Bad: they performed the songs Spoon and Sugar Water.
