Remember the Titans is a 2000 American film directed by Boaz Yakin and starring Denzel Washington (as Coach Herman Boone). It was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It is the story of the American football team from T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Virginia, caught up in racial conflict. The movie is based on actual events that took place in 1971, when the Titans won a Virginia state championship in real life.
