The College of the Bahamas (more commonly referred to as COB) is a public institution of higher learning located in Nassau, Bahamas.

COB was established in 1974 as an Act of Parliament and was the created via the merger of the Bahamas Teachers’ College, the San Salvador Teachers’ College, the C.R. Walker Technical College and the Sixth Form Programme of The Government High School. In 1975 the College of the Bahamas opened its doors to students.

Today the college offers associates and bachelors degrees to about 4000 students, and has hopes to achieve university status by 2007.

It is currently headed by acting president Rhonda Chipman-Johnson who is took over from Dr. Rodney Smith. Smith's tenure prematurely ended after an infamous event where the he ironically plagerised a portion of a speech given by friend and president of New York University John Sexton.
