Vadavannur Vadavannur is predominantly agricultural Village in Chittur Taluk in Palghat District of Kerala. Vadavannur also is a Panchayat. It,s neighbouring Panchayats are Kollengode, Puthunagaram, and Pallassana. Vadavannur is a part of Chittur Assembly Constituency and Palghat Parliament Constituency. Sri Palat Mohandas former Chief Secretary of Kerala and presently Chief Information Commissioner is from the Palat family of Vadavannur. Sri T. Balakrishan, Principal Secretary (Industries and Commerce ) Government of Kerala is from the Thotanchath family of Vadavannur. Sri Kochu Govindan of Pattathalachi an expatriate in Mumbai has recently consturcted the first Commercial Complex in Vadavannur.
