Mary Shelley's Frankenstein

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is a 1994 film starring Kenneth Branagh, Tom Hulce, Helena Bonham Carter, and Robert De Niro. In this adaption of Mary Shelley's classic tale of man's toying with life, life's preciousness, and a misunderstood monster, Robert De Niro is the Creature beyond the wildest dreams of Victor Frankenstein (Branagh). It is more faithful to the novel than most other film adaptations of the story (cf Frankenstein), but does include some extreme deviations from Mary Shelley's original plot.

The film was initially poorly received by some critics and was a flop, grossing $22 million from a film that cost $45 million to make, but it has grown to cult popularity in recent years, and has been praised by some. Film website Rotten Tomatoes, which compiles reviews from a wide range of critics, gives the film a score of the producers mum sucks her dads little willy
