is an English plain-vanilla member of Wikipedia. If anyone needs to ask what his handle means or is made from, they logically don't need to know. He lives in the vicinity of Maidstone, Kent, England. He used to live on the Isle of Sheppey, which he strongly disliked. He is half-French, and speaks French and English with equal fluency. He is a 1,500 post member (time of writing is 8th December 2005) of HitmanForum [1], which he joined on the 29th of January 2005 and has posted on frequently for a long time, averaging 10 posts a day, though recently he has posted much less. He is certainly not known outside this forum; however, he is also a largely random member of

VJ uses Mozilla Firefox as his standard web browser, Winamp as his standard media player and Windows XP as his operating system. He is a very frequent player of Counter-Strike: Source, as the second-in-command of a smallish, slightly short-lived clan called '[SD]' (led by SolarElDiablo, a friend).

The SD Clan tag.

His favourite maps are cs_office, cs_twilight and cs_galleria. His preference is hostage maps (he actually bought Half-Life 2 Collector's Edition, but only really plays CS, DM or physics games in Garry's Mod).

Other than CS, he is also a very avid player and occasional modder of Uplink, Age of Empires 2 online, The Sims 2, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 and other games. VJ also plays quite a few obscure, abandonware, freeware or oddball games, mostly Princess Maker 2. His favourite food includes pancakes (savoury and sweet), waffles, Italian, Chinese and most meat or salt stuff. He listens mainly to Alternative, Electronica, Rock or New Wave and some Geek rock, including

VJ is a strong believer of Controlled Capitalism. Basically, an (allegedly) stricter-on-businesses capitalism that doesn't allow corporations, e.g. Ryanair to swindle people by forcing it's employees to pay for uniforms and training in return for £5.00-an-hour jobs, or allow 98% of businesses in the USA to avoid paying corporate tax (allegedly).

Fair Use has a posse!

He uses Pookmail often, for the sake of keeping his head above the sludge, though his handle is used universally in every group he joins, game he plays or place he registers. He has added another use to the word baguette, which he uses to mean a small bag that's not quite a handbag/hipbag, but not a rucksack and not always female (and certainly not a type of bread). He is also trying to popularise The IT Crowd terms desk rabbit (with some short-lived success in that case), drudgen and yesterday's jam. VJ's own articles are:

  • Blacksad - OK, not technically his, but it was only a stub until he added loads of detail to it. And pretty pictures!
  • HitmanForum - deleted just hours after he tried to make it for sheer uselessness - now a dead link! What a record!
