Agha, I am truly sorry for not being able to write you as I had promised. I got 63 different things going on at the same time. (writing proposals at my job, going to Iran for the summer, taking care of the wife, moving to another apartment, etc), and on top of everything, I have to deal with User:Zora on almost a daily basis. She is desperately trying to change the history of Khuzestan and Ahvaz and inject Arabic roots and revisions into it.

Wiki box

Hey, sorry to bother but I kinda stole your box thingie from your user page because 1) I like it and 2) I don't know how to create on myself. I hope that's ok! I was hoping if you maybe had time you can run over to my user page a leave me a tip on how I move the box to the right-hand side of the page. It's beyond me and my rather pathetic techinical skills. Thanks! Jarfingle 09:44, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Really??! babaye to ham azariyeh?!
The thing is, he never taught me proper Azari, and so my aunts and uncles think very low of me!
They keep scolding him: "Israfeel...chera torkee be een bachat yaad nemeedee?" :)
Youll get voted again. Good luck on the finals! Break a leg!--Zereshk 03:31, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Salaam

I like your formatting on your user page, and i'm inept at html. Can I use your formatting?

Also, considering your book about the relation of Iran and Russia during the 20th century, if you need any information about Tudeh or the Russia's occupation of Iran during WWII, message me. My uncle was affliated with Tudeh after Reza Pahlavi's coup.

Count me in. I'm not much of an HTML expert, but Iranian history interests me. Have you read All the Shah's Men? Take a look at it if you can, it is an excellent source about Mossadegh, the Pahlavis, etc. SeanMcG 00:06, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hey thanks for the link. I signed up on your wiki; i'll start to contribute when I can. Excellent start on the website: it the format is great, now we just have to fill it up with information! --SeanMcG 08:44, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hitler's visit to Iran

Hey, in the National Car Museum of Iran you suggest that Hitler has visited Iran, but I cant find any reliable sources confirming this..

- You say he drove it from Iran, but your sources didnt really show this.. Anyway are you considering starting a forum for your project? I havent been able to contact you on msn.

Website

Hey, thanks for clearing that up. Although your article probably needs an update since your sources doesn't confirm he drove to russia from Iran, its all rumours anyway. I am happy to contribute toward your website in anywya, if you have msn or something we can keep in touch better there, --Kash 10:04, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Arbcom candidate userbox

Greetings. I've made a new userbox for arbcom candidates to show on their userpages so that visiters will know they're running.

{{User arbcom nom}}

If you'd like to place it on your userpage, feel free. Regards, – Quadell (talk) (bounties) 02:16, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Salam

Aytakin jan,
Hi. I apologize for not responding to your messages. Ive been traveling, and I had some exams to take care of. And some idiotic ongoing fights.
I would like to help you out in the projects you mentioned, but Ive been having a bit too much on my plate lately. And the only reason I cant let go of WP is that Ive noticed that some major media outlets like The Wash Post or TIME and others have been directly using material off of WP pages. I know this for a fact because I wrote some of the exact sentences they used. And with the biased anti-Iranian campaign going on the Khuzestan and its related pages, I cant let these bigots (thebiased WP editors) distort the facts. Ive been busy lately as youve probably noticed on Talk:Iran page.
On a more positive note, I just received my copy of the 20 volume series of Dehkhoda's dictionary. It's a very interesting read! And pretty handy for Wikipedia articles too.
But otherwise all is still well. You take care.--Zereshk 05:54, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Iran Wiki

Hey Aytakin,

Are you following this "nuclear showdown" with Iran?

Anyways, i'm going to help with your Iran wiki after my finals are over (Friday). I have a semester break (i.e. I finally get time to read Shah of Shahs!)

Persian Wikipedia

Hi Aytakin,

I assume you have contributed to or browsed the Persian Vikipedia. May I ask you a question? I tried to browse it with a couple of different PC's and I see the text improperly displayed. Specifically, the "yeh" (ى ) never connects to the following letter, so the words containing a "yeh" look divided in two parts, e.g. ويكى بديا instead of ويكيبديا (sorry for the b/p). Do you see the same, or I just lack the proper font? --Filius Rosadis 14:43, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Canada

Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there!--DarkEvil 02:04, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Featured article candidates

Please help to solidify and improve the Persian Empire article, its currently on Wikipedia:Featured article candidates. Amir85 19:06, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

userpage

Sorry. I was browsing one of the categories, Iranian people I think, and noticed your userpage was in it; as is my habit, I edited the page to remove the misplaced category. I thought the edit summary would explain why I was doing it; I certainly didn't think it would give offense. My apologies. —Charles P._(Mirv) 01:14, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dorod

Hi. Do you think we have any chance to promote an Iran-related article to Wikipedia:Featured articles ? if so do you have any article in mind that we could work on it for promotion ? Amir85 13:47, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Offer to help

I have edited two of Amir's articles; I think he's done a great job. If you would like some assistance with any of the proposed clean-up, please let me know how you wish me to help. Informative articles about Iran are especially important these days. Rklawton 20:55, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It needs some work- would you be willing to help? I think the legacy section needs to be expanded, and more about his life during house arrest and exile. --SeanMcG 01:13, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've had alot of school work lately- taking SATs, ACTs, architecture classes, the list goes on. Unfortunatly, i've had to stop wikipeding until this week (President's day holiday). --SeanMcG 05:06, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Persians

The user Aucaman has been vandalizing Persian people, as well as several other Iran-related articles, claiming that "modern Persians are mix of Arabs and Mongols" editing the article, or adding a dispute tag, based on his own personal assumptions and conclusions without any valid source to support such outrageous revisionist theory. If you have an opinion on this topic, please join the Talk:Persian_people, so we can reach a consensus for the removal of the "dispute tag". --ManiF 18:27, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Iranian Watchdog

Aucaman and a few others like Heja Helweda and Diyako have been repeatedly and systematically vandalizing the Iran-related topics such as Persian people and Iranian peoples, propagating false information, maliciously editing/disputing/deleting without one shred of proof to backup their wild claims, applying the strawman falsification approach, trying to establish new 'facts" based on their own personal assumptions and beliefs.

In order to prevent this situation, we need to create an Iranian Watchdog on Wikipedia and guard the integrity and quality of all the Wikipedia articles that are related to Iran and Iranians. Please let me know if you think that's a good idea. --ManiF 13:00, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Go here,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Genetic_origins_of_the_Kurds, and vote `strong delete` please, so a certain user would no longer be able to use some psuedoscience genetic test about `Kurds`, and constantly insert in the Iranian people article.Zmmz 03:29, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
