Why was this moved (and all links to it changed) from Birmingham New Street railway station? The latter complies with apparent policy/ conventions. Andy Mabbett 10:01, 22 Jun 2004 (UTC)

What naming conventions? the naming convention I'm following is the one of common usage. G-Man 11:56, 22 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Naming conventions (stations) says "For stations in the United Kingdom, the standard is different and defined in Wikipedia:WikiProject_London." (see: Wikipedia:WikiProject London#Naming conventions). It's certainly what happens in practice. Andy Mabbett 12:12, 22 Jun 2004 (UTC)

That as far as I can see applies to stations in London where it is neccesary to disambiguate railway stations from tube stations, it therefore doesn't apply outside London. New street station is always reffered to as "Birmingham New Street Station" and that is af far as I'm concearned common usage. G-Man 13:11, 22 Jun 2004 (UTC)
