La Blue Girl is a hentai anime-series.

Japanese title : 淫獣学園La☆Blue Girl

The story involves various ninja clans who fight each other. The protagonist is Miko Mido, a young, female ninja-in-training and the next leader of the Miroku ninja clan. This clan controls the Shikima, the perverted demon race. However, once thieves steal the magic pact giving the clan this power, Miko has to fight the Shikima utilizing her "sexcraft" ninjutsu in order to save the world.

The Shikima live in a world called the Shikima world, which is a parallel dimension. One must do specific sexual rituals to travel there. The Shikima are all sex-hungry monsters, led by the Shikima Lord, which is also Miko Mido's father.

The La Blue Girl anime is based on a manga by Toshio Maeda, and as with other hentai series created by him (i.e. Urotsukidoji), La Blue Girl features a large amount of tentacle rape, but unlike its predecessor, a lot of humor helps to lighten the show, making it a parody of the whole "Tentacle Hentai" genre.

An immensely successful series, La Blue Girl has inspired, over the years, several OAV series for a total of 14 episodes, a comics book adaptation, three live-action movies, some PC games and, of course, a handful of art-books.

While not featuring the censoring mosaics of the original japanese version, the US release of La Blue Girl was edited during the initial VHS release and all scenes featuring Miko's companion Nin-Nin engaged in a sexual act were removed, probably to avoid the charge of pedophilia. Another alteration was the actual age of the heroine: initially stated as a 16 years old high-schooler in the original Japanese version, she becomes a 18 years old college student in the US version. The DVD release contains this censored version. 1

In the UK, the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) famously refused to give it the certificate allowing a movie to be sold on video.

OAV

Injuu Gakuen La Blue Girl (4 episodes, 1992) is an adaptation of the original manga. Miko Mido is a young girl who is to be the next leader of the ancestral Miroku ninja clan. But the Suzuka clan steals the treasured compact that symbolizes the truce between the Miroku and the Shikimas, a race of otherwordly perverted demons, and soon Miko has to use the sexual techniques of the Miroku to survive the assaults of the demons and protect her sister. After learning the truth behind her heritage and the identity of her true parent, she embarks in a journey to become a real Miroku ninja and will have to fight an ex-mistress-turned-traitor of the Miroku clan. Shin Injuu Gakuen (2 episodes, 1993) adapts the end of the manga, and as such is a follow-up and the conclusion to Miko's adventures in the first series. This time the ennemies are Fubuki Kai, a rogue ninja who wants to wins over Miko the title of best ninja, and the cybernetized survivors of the Suzuka clan. Episodes titles :

Injuu Gakuen EX (aka Lady Blue, 4 episodes, 1994). Featuring an original story about two ghosts, Kyoshiro et Shanahime, labouring an old grudge against the Shikimas and attacking several of Miko's friends, including her first love. Episodes titles :

Characters

Miko Mido: Miko is the heroine of all La Blue Girl OVAs. She is the last descendant of the female Miroku ninja clan that is in struggle with the Suzuka clan since many generations. She is often very annoyed by all the sex stuff that she has to do since she's a sex ninja and has to use her genitals as a weapon against opponents. Miko can use a lot of weird sexual techniques like hardening her pubic hair to needles and fire them to the opponent, a technique called 'Nyoninboh' which allows her to swell her clitoris to the size of a man's penis and drive female rivals crazy with it, she can use her hair as accupuncture needles if ripped out and prick the opponents' erotic pleasure points with them and, last but not least, her most powerful attack is the 'Aoi Tatsumaki' (Blue Whirlwind) which she has to take off her ribbon for to make her hair turn into a giant blue tornado that blows and rips everything off! Miko is the daughter of Seikima, the King of the Shikima, and of Maria, the queen who is human and a former Miroku woman. She is a demon-half-breed and carries the blue blood of the Shikima. That's why the title is 'La Blue Girl'.

Nin-Nin: Nin-Nin is a midget ninja who is always hooded. He is Miko's loyal companion and sidekick and constantly perverted. He likes to peep when Miko is bathing or masturbating and beams with joy whenever he can see her naked, her panties showing off her skirt or in any troublesome sexual encounter with demons or other ninjas. But on the other hand he always helps her out when she's in trouble and Miko likes him very much and Nin-Nin is extremely in love with her.

Yaku: Yaku is another ninja of the Miroku clan that Miko meets when she decides to travel to the secret Miroko village one day. She is the only survivor (with Miko) of the Miroku massacre caused by Kamiri and Kugutsumen. Yaku is a powerful girl and a very threatening one, too, for she can transform into a werewolf during a full moon when she doesn't reach an orgasm in time. Moreover her most notable attributes are her large breasts that Miko envies her for.

Kamiri: Kamiri was actually the Miroku ninja's sexcraft instructor before she was punished by the clan for treachory because she joined forces with the renegade ninja rival Kugutsumen. She was punished with a thorny phallus that mangled her vagina and then chased away. So she swore herself to take revenge on the Miroko clan together with her lover Kugutsumen. One day Kamiri returns and steals the Miroku treasure, the magical sword Jipang, which evil spirit possesses her. She wants to conquer the Shikima Realm, kill King Seikima and rule over it. For that she needs Miko for she's the only one who knows how to get there. After several fights between Kamiri and Miko and Yaku, Kamiri gets destroyed by the evil spirit of Jipang.

Kugutsumen: Kugutsumen is a renegade ninja of the Suzuka clan who joined forces with Kamiri, the Miroko sexcraft instructor, after he was able to take control of her when a drop of his sperm entered her body after a fight. It was him who killed all the Miroko ninjas by mangling their vaginas which caused heavy haemorrhages. Because of Kamiri's wounds from her punishment and the affection of the Jipang's evil spirit, Kamiri refuses to have sex with him and so he rapes several young girls. He is a tough opponent for Miko and Yaku for he often tricks them by disgusing himself and so lures them into his traps.

Fubuki Kai: A self-made ninja, she goes after Miko Mido to prove that she is more talented than her, and more worthy of the title of head master of the Miroku ninja clan. Defeated in sexual duel, she is adopted among the Shikima and becomes a friend of Miko.

Injutsu (Ninjutsu Sexcraft)

Devised several centuries ago by some ninja clans like the Miroku, Injutsu exist to exploit human or demonic carnal weaknesses.

Aoi Tatsumaki (Blue Whirlwind) : Miko's ribbon is in fact some kind of a seal. When she removes it, her hair gains the ability to grow exponentially and to act as a mini-tornado. Often used by Miko as a finishing move against the episodes's boss.

Nyoninboh : Miko's secret weapon against females; she can make her clitoris grows to the size of a man's penis and use it to make her opponents come. To her surprise, she will have to learn that she is not the only one to have mastered this art, and Fubuki will come very close to winning her duel against Miko.

Iron pubes : Miko’s pubic hairs turn into needles that shoot at her opponent.

Milk strike : A shot of milk from Miko's breast which can blind an enemy.

Alcoholic shower : Close-combat move, Nin-Nin sprays alcohol on Miko's opponent's body, and she raises her body heat to ignite the alcohol.

Using her accupuncture skills, Miko can pierce the hidden pleasure points of a female body to make her opponent come.

Acid blast : Miko shoots acid from her vagina. Fubuki has a variant of this technique that she uses to melt demon tentacles.

Werewolf transformation : Yaku becomes horny when the moon is full. If she doesn't come before it's too late, she transforms into a werewolf.

Shikima transformation : Once accepted among the shikimas, and having her human blood replaced by demonic blood, Fubuki will be able to transform at will into a demon form.

Scenes cuts in the US releases

Here are some example of scenes cut down in most occidental releases of the title, but are generally included in the japanese DVD release. There may be other cuts, this list is not exaustive.

- Miko and Yaku rewarding Nin-nin after that the monster has been slayed.

- A very strange cut : a shot of the girls' faces when they are in the bus. As this cut is devoid of ecchiness, and as the audio channel is not perfectly synchronous with what is happening on screen, it may be an editing error.
- Kamiri seducing Nin-nin.
La Blue Girl episode 6
- Fubuki "convincing" Nin-nin to stay with her in the Inkai dimension.
- Nin-nin landing on top of Miko when they are sent to the Injo realm.
- Before getting transported in thz SM club, Miko is teleported in a classroom to serve as the plaything of several male students. This scene mirrors a passage from the original manga. Note that this scene is not included in the japanese DVD release as well.
- The whole ending scene where Miko rewards Nin-nin for having saved her.

Videogames

La Blue Girl for PC-98 and FM-Towns, featuring a different chara-design from the manga and the anime. The story is an adaptation from both the first volume of the manga and the first anime OAV : Miko's friends at school are assaulted by demons and her professor is kidnapped and sent to their infernal dimension; Miko travel there and save her; everybody go back to Earth where a last showdown is awaiting Miko at school. Gameplay-wise it's a digital comics adventure game with some shooting phases (in a Snatcher fashion, and with shakens instead of a pistol).
La Blue Girl for Windows 95. The art is more faithful to the anime chara-design, while the story is an adaptation of the La Blue Girl EX OAV.
