In Arthurian Legend, Sir Bors was a Knight of the Round Table. He was also the King of Gaul, which he inherited from his father (also named Bors) and his mother, Evaine. His father was an ally of King Arthur's in a battle against rebel kings. The younger Bors also joined in the Quest for the Holy Grail and was successful in finding it with Perceval and Galahad according to Thomas Malory. Earlier in life, the daughter of King Brandegoris of Stranggore fell in love with him and he was forced to sleep with her by way of a magic ring. Since, he is the father of Elyan the White. Coincidentally, Lancelot is Bors's cousin.
