Redundant and impossible. There were hundreds and hundreds of them. -Anti-Masonry is at times POV, but moreover, poorly organised. It could use some synthesis.

Fire breather I discovered that this page was redundant only after I created it (see Fire breathing).

Shoot! I kind of wish it weren't a redirect, since, according to Shelby Foote, "fire breather" is a term in use in the US Civil War to refer to the secessionist politicians before the war. The term is also generally used for ranters, too. Don't know if these usages are worth an article, esp. since it would be historical dictdef, but it's worth thinking about. Lateral marks pos copyvio?

  • Kohl's - verify, need social significance otherwise VFD it.
    • The article is awful, but major department store chains get entries, and this is a major US chain. I certainly wouldn't miss either the article or the store, but it does seem more of a CU than a VFD or SD candidate. However the article should exist at Kohl's Department Store, and Kohl's should be a redirect to it. (Sorry for being wordy.) Geogre 16:17, 23 Jun 2004 (UTC)
    • My argument is more about ignorance. I don't know if there are other "Kohl's" things out there, like "Kohl's Third Equation" or "Kohl's Star." I felt that the store entry, if one is to exist, ought to be as precisely named as possible to avoid future problems. (E.g. my objection to "Lakeside School," below: there are dozens of schools by the name, and "Lakeside School, Oregon" would solve the problem.) Geogre 18:07, 23 Jun 2004 (UTC)
      • in which case link to (Kohl (disambiguation)]]; if there is a Kohl's equation it will be linked to by that. If there is something called Kohl's and Kohl's only, then it can be moved then. So yes, Lakeside School needs to have a comma, place, but not this one. Kohl's is probably their tradename. (this should go on its talk poage btw) Dunc_Harris| 20:19, 23 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Lakeside School I don't trust myself with VfD these days, but this needs a move and clean. Taylor Miller oh-oh. Actor substub. Dunc_Harris| 23:29, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)

  • It's from the same person who was reported for their work: the same work you tried to pin on me when I first got here. Anyway, she only seems to know the obvious roles: she completely missed that Taylor Miller played Sally Frame on Another World. You know it's the same person with the ominous, unchanging present tense. Blah blah stars in something that happened fifteen years ago. TheCustomOfLife 02:19, 21 Jun 2004 (UTC)
  • I reported this idiot on the vandalism page...and was advised that this isn't vandalism. I strongly and vehemently disagree. However, the same sysop suggested converting them into redirects. Easy as pie and fast, too. It'll save us all a bunch of trouble, that is, unless TheCustomOfLife puts his encyclopedic knowledge of soaps to work. Hell, even I knew about the "Cliff and Nina" love affair on AMC, and this refugee from a booby hatchery couldn't be bothered to mention that, a la the original posts for Anthony Geary and Genie Francis! - Lucky 6.9 06:35, 21 Jun 2004 (UTC)
    • I disagree with redirects. It's suggesting that the fifty or so actor profiles I've already created were for naught. TheCustomOfLife 15:51, 21 Jun 2004 (UTC)
    • Having revised the Taylor Miller article up to minimal stub status, I obviously don't think it should be turned into a redirect to the All My Children article. If nothing else, we should maintain the distinction between the performer and the performance. MK 21:03, 22 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Robert Abbot unimproved since August 2002, I tried to have a go but the academic text was too much for me. -- Graham  :) | Talk + clarified somewhat, but information about his actual significance is still needed. Vardion

Difficult case. The people he's confused with are significant, and I could write about them, but this fellow just wrote books. It's also pretty confusing in the text: he persecuted non-conformists (Puritans), and he's a Puritan? 17th c. language of schism is pretty torturous, and these non-conformists might be Anabaptists, etc. In other words, I'm not sure it can be cleaned more, but the subject passes the significance test. Kaufmann is not public domain. His translations (c 1960s or so) bear royalties and cost more than PD editions. I think this article still looks like cut-and-paste, and that it's at least stretching fair use because the quoted text constitutes more than half of it. CHL

Superficial anatomy - "from an old encyclopedia", in need of wikifying since November, 2002

Eek! This is not only obsolete and cumbersome (who searches for "superficial anatomy?"), but it's from an "old encyclopedia" that dates from the era of racial types. CU seems a waste, unless medical schools are still teaching a class called "Superficial Anatomy" and a MD wants to fill in this article with a description of such a course of study. Geogre 14:52, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Journal of Consciousness Studies - advert? data dump? needs extensive re-edit and cleanup.

It's real enough. User Mporch did most of the work about 3 weeks ago, it seems. It needs cleaning, but the journal is really peer reviewed and significant. It's not a dump or plumper. Geogre 13:12, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)
I cleaned up the Book section however I feel that the areas of study section ought to be removed, shortened or made into a Table of Contents like section. 10101001011 15:47, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)
How about we put the "areas" into a narrative sentence, with the items in a line, rather than occupying .5 screen of scroll? I'll try that. Geogre 16:34, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Done it now. Looks ok. The famous contributors should probably be in a table, though. Geogre 17:11, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Kunststiftung_NRW - substub, mess.

Probably VfD, since all Google links are in German. It seems to be a museum in Austria. The German Wikipedians could fill it out, but if the English Wikipedia users need this article, they need more context than a non-German speaker can provide. Geogre 17:15, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Keto-enol_tautomerism - ???

Shithead (Game) - needs wikification -- merge with Shithead (game)

  • Moved from "Shithead" to "Shithead (Game)" to at least clear that up. Still needs major CU or VfD as trivia. (I play a game called "Richard Nixon": do I get to make an article by that title?) Geogre 13:18, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Boston accent phonology - New article I've been working on, fairly complete, but complete enough? Poccil

Looks good, but getting the precise vocalic position (esp. around liquids) with the character set is really difficult. Could you put in any outside links? (I'm thinking about the values of post-vocalic r clipping compared to, e.g. a New Orleans, accent.)

Tradewars - wikify

I gave it the POV-ectomy, turning it to an article about the Trade Wars game (which goes by any number of names, etc.). I'm not sure that it's worth keeping, though. If folks want to clean & improve it with specific dates and iterations of the game, that would be worthwhile. Otherwise, this is probably a VfD candidate. Geogre 02:12, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Visual short term memory I have justed added my first article. I would be grateful if people could read through it, wikify it, shorten it etc. There is a pre-existing article on short-term memory, but this is a somewhat different topic and my feeling was that it was better keep two separate pages, but if anyone wants to try merging the two that would be great.
