As of the census of 2000, there are 10,578 people, 4,756 households, and 2,739 families residing in the city. The population density is 1,361.4/km² (3,522.9/mi²). There are 4,923 housing units at an average density of 633.6 persons/km² (1,639.5 persons/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 85.81% White, 1.14% African American, 0.35% Native American, 5.60% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 3.02% from other races, and 3.98% from two or more races. 9.96% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
