List of Degrassi: The Next Generation episodes

This page lists episodes of the teen soap opera Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Most DTNG episode titles come from song names, mainly 80's songs, hinting at Degrassi's popularity in the 80s and the writers' obsession with the decade. In some cases, however, names of 90s songs have been used; such as "Jagged Little Pill" (Alanis Morissette), which dealt with ecstasy, and "Wannabe" (Spice Girls), which dealt with defining one's identity. In one case, an episode was named after an 80s band (Weddings, Parties, Anything), in which Craig's band has a gig at a wedding and in another case the episode that deals with sexuality is named after the name of an album (The Lexicon Of Love). Another exception is "Going Down The Road," named after a 1970 Canadian movie, in which a movie was filmed at Degrassi (the school).

With the help of Toby, their computer geek friend, they break into Emma's email and find out that she has indeed gone to meet him. They rush to the hotel where he was staying with Spike and Snake, fearing the worst. Meanwhile, Emma has found herself alone in a hotel room with an older man who is definitely not the 14 year old boy he purported to be. He starts stroking her leg and then Snake busts in before anything horrible can happen, and nearly takes the guy down himself, furious with anger. Spike wants to chide Emma, but more than anything is happy to have her baby back safe.

In rebellion to this, Manny simply decides not to wear any underwear at all. This leads to a temporary break up in Manny and Emma's relationship, as well as JT discovering he has feelings for Manny.
304	File:D304.jpg	Pride Part 1	U2	Marco comes out to his friends, While everyone else seems to be accepting, it does not sit very well with the rather homophobic Spinner. When Snake gets sick, Emma and Spike worry that it may be more serious.

Fortunately the cops and Jimmy show up in time before anything bad happens.At the end of the episode Marco and Spinner confront each other after Spinner tells him that it's wrong and sick. He replies "So did the bashers". When Spinner asked why he is comparing him to the bigots who attacked him Marco simply replies "Why not?" and Spinner realises the error of his prejudice.

The next day, the whole school hates him and he loses his friends, and his girlfriend Manny. Now an outcast, he gets drunk with Jay and crashes a party for Jimmy. When he takes his keys to Joey's car, Marco tried to stop him, but he fails and gets Craig to stop him, but Spinner ignores all of them, and when he drives for about a foot, he stops when he sees Jimmy on the road. Jimmy tells him that he's dead to him, and goes back to the party. The next day, he tells Ms. Hatzilakos the whole story, and she expels him and Jay.

Her mother, now clean and sober, wants her to move back in but Ellie is still hurt about the times she angered and embarrassed her due to her drinking and refuses. When she finds out the truth about Spinner's virginity, or lack thereof, Spinner ends up running into the arms of a former girlfriend for comfort, Paige, who also broke up with her girlfriend Alex.
519		High Fidelity Part 2	Elvis Costello	Following a night of unexpected kissing between Spinner and Paige, Darcy apologizes to Spinner for her jealousy and he decides to take her back. Spinner then has to tell Paige that he is back together with Darcy but ends up sleeping with Paige instead. Darcy finds out and leaves for Bible camp without forgiving Spinner. Ashley returns to Degrassi and helps Jimmy out with some of his problems and he finally forgives Spinner for the school shooting.
